why i hate catnaps

Posted on: October 27, 2007

Logan is currently upstairs in his crib. instead of sleeping peacefully like he normally does during his naptime, he’s screaming his little head off. why? ’cause he took a damn catnap in the car!

we were out running some errands this morning in the other end of town. unfortunately while we were on our way home to have lunch….Logan fell asleep. 10. minutes. from. home!

everytime Logan catches a catnap in the car before lunch, we won’t sleep during his naptime. not sure how 10 minutes can make up for the 2.5 hour nap he usually takes, but somehow he thinks it does.

so now, instead of spending a nice relaxing couple of hours with hubby, we are sitting on the couch trying to watch House on the TiVo while Logan screams bloody murder in an attempt at bribing his way back downstairs. nice.

i swear, i’d be pulling my hair out if i had any!

Punkin hasn’t wanted to take a nap at all lately and I can’t even remember the last time he fell asleep in the car.

Yet after fighting me for an hour he will sleep for 2-3 hours so I keep up the good fight with him.

He’s at nanny’s now. I am not cleaning. What a slacker. Must. Get. To. Work. NOW.

Oh the same thing happens here. I still fight for him to take a nap. I totally agree though, I don’t get how a few minutes = a full nap in the car. Doesn’t make sense. Lately if we notice him getting droopy eyes as we’re nearing home, we play games to keep him awake. Like randomly shouting funny things to him or giggling at him. Try it, it helped last time. Then he slept at home.

Oh my. Had one of those days today too. The day we had two halloween parties to attend. Gah! I’m ready to collapse!

Oh, good lord. This is exactly what happens to Braden.

I, too, cannot work out the equation were 10 = 150. Heh.

Arghhhh, I hate catnaps with a vengance. Horrid horrid things.

Dinnertime is so much more stressful when you have a grotty tired hungry toddler clinging to your legs.
